Phillip E. Hugh
President and Chief Executive Officer
With more than 18 years of hospitality experience, Phil Hugh has held virtually every position on both the development and operations sides of the hotel business. Prior to founding DOC in February, 2005, he was Senior Vice-President of Franchise Sales and Development for Cendant Corporation. He was responsible for the development of all new-construction hotels, under 8 different brands, throughout the United States and Canada. During Mr. Hugh's tenure at Cendant, he was instrumental in growing the Wingate Inn brand.
Mr. Hugh began his career as a night auditor at the Pittsburgh International Airport Days Inn. Through hard work and a passion for the business, he quickly rose through the ranks into positions of increasing scope and responsibility including General Manager of a 144-room full service hotel in Cleveland, Ohio.
Additionally, he served as Director of Sales for the Crowne Plaza Resort Hilton Head Island and Nemacolin Woodlands Golf Resort in Pennsylvania. He also served as Director of Franchise Development for Holiday Inn Worldwide and Vice President Development for Cendant's Real Estate Division.
Under Mr. Hugh's direction as President and CEO of DOC, the company has several projects underway including new construction of a 67 room boutique Hotel Indigo in Fort Myers, Florida, a 13 story commercial building in Milwaukee, Wisconsin housing a 120 room Staybridge Suites hotel, 31 residential condominiums and retail space and a mixed use project in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania consisting of 140 luxury hotel rooms, 23 condominiums, conference center and retail space.
Mr. Hugh was awarded the 2007 Renovation Award from the InterContinental Hotels Group for his company's $3M renovation of a 123 room Holiday Inn in downtown Fort Myers, Florida. In September, 2007, Mr. Hugh was personally featured in Gulfshore Business Magazine's "40 Under Forty" issue saluting Southwest Florida's young leaders. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Allegheny College. |

Brenda J. Yurick
Executive Vice President and General Counsel
Brenda J. Yurick joined DOC in August, 2006 after providing outside services to the company since its inception. Ms. Yurick is a transactional attorney who provides a broad range of counsel and service in banking, real estate, and general corporate matters. These services include commercial lending, loan restructuring, real estate acquisitions, development and financing, commercial leasing, construction contracts and disputes, title insurance, corporate structuring, employment contracts, and corporate acquisitions.
Attorney Yurick started her legal career as an associate with a law firm where she represented small to medium size business entities, national and regional lenders and borrowers regarding real estate based financing transactions and real estate acquisition and development. While at that firm, she became legal counsel for the Stadium Authority of the City of Pittsburgh and provided guidance on compliance with municipal law, drafted and negotiated operating agreements and leases, and facilitated the acquisition and development of the property necessary for the construction of Heinz Stadium and PNC Park located in the City of Pittsburgh. She was awarded partnership in the law firm after only six years.
In July of 2000, Ms. Yurick joined Thorp, Reed & Armstrong where she worked as Special Counsel in the financial institutions practice, and continued to represent national and regional lenders and borrowers. Thereafter and until returning to her private practice in 2003, Attorney Yurick served as in-house legal counsel to a Pittsburgh based real estate developer who owns and operates both shopping centers and office buildings throughout the eastern portion of the country.
Ms. Yurick is a 1988 graduate of Clark University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree. She received her Juris Doctor cum laude from Suffolk University Law School. |

Renee Roggow
Director of Finance
Renee Roggow is an efficient manager and finance professional with diverse experience in supervision, human resources, goal development, accounting, financial analysis, and cash flow management. Ms. Roggow is known throughout the industry as an amazingly effective communicator and problem solver. A long-time associate of Phil Hugh, she is an expert in profit management and trend analysis. Ms. Roggow brings her knowledge of cost improvement, business plan development, and multimillion dollar budgeting to the DOC team.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Business Degree from Western Michigan University in 1994, Ms. Roggow went to work for a growing transportation company. Through her supervision and administration, the company tripled in size and sales increased over 500%. In 2003, Ms. Roggow took on the position of Accounting Director for a national sign manufacturer. Her duties consisted of developing and interpreting statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability and other matters bearing on fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization. |
